After 30 years of promises for new Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and several attempts at implementation, home health agencies will finally see the implementation. Some provisions of the CoPs are already in effect but the majority will become effective on January 13, 2018. These changes are numerous and very detailed. Join us as Jennifer Warfield BSN, COS-C, HCS-D delves into the specifics. Discussion will include implementation dates, specifics on how to be compliant and survey ready and discusses what the draft Interpretive guidelines says about each provision.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss the general purpose of the new CoPs
  2. Recognize and understand the new provisions and when to implement them
  3. Understand how these new provisions affect agency policies and state surveys
  4. Discuss the Draft Interpretive Guidelines
