This is a FREE, member-exclusive event.

On Tuesday, March 6, concerned home care providers from all over Minnesota will convene in St. Paul for a day of education, networking, and lobbying. Whether you’re a seasoned lobbyist or haven’t set foot in the Capitol since 5th grade, MHCA needs your voice! While our lobbyists have a steady presence at the Capitol, nothing has the same impact as you sharing your stories with your legislators.

We’ll provide an overview of priority issues, “hot topic” sheets to leave with your legislators, and tips for talking to your legislator. If you’re interested, we’ll even set you up with a mentor

9:30 am  Optional in-depth orientation for first-time attendees
10 am  Orientation, overview of priority issues, tips for talking with your legislator
 Noon  Lunch on your own
 Afternoon  Meetings with your legislators*

*In preparation for the MHCA Day at the Capitol on March 6th, we need you to set up an appointment ASAP with your State Senator and State Representative. A portion of our activity that day involves member meetings with elected officials, and legislators respond most quickly to requests initiated by their constituents. Click here for step-by-step instructions for scheduling a meeting.
