The Trump Effect:  How the New Administration is Impacting Homecare

Presented by Angelo Spinola, Shareholder, Littler Mendelson PC

Thursday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m. EDT

Cost:  $99

After a contentious presidential race with unexpected results, President Trump has taken office with a Republican majority in both the Senate and House of Representatives. The new administration already has taken action that will impact home care, including the failed appeal of the Affordable Care Act, and nominating Alexander Acosta as the next Secretary of Labor and Judge Neil Gorsuch as the next U.S. Supreme Court justice. What do these and other developments mean for home care companies? No one can say with certainty what will happen, but investigations and lawsuits against healthcare and home care companies continue to rise, while the new political administration’s policy agenda remains in flux.

This webinar identifies a variety of topics affecting home care companies in the new Trump Era and how we recommend preparing for what may come.

This education session, on Thursday, June 29th at 11:00 a.m. EDT will address:

  • Discuss the expected agenda and priorities of the new Department of Labor leadership and anticipated timing of potential changes that will affect the home care industry
  • Current litigation trends:  understand the practices most commonly targeted by private lawsuits and Department of Labor investigations.
  • Remedial steps companies should take to mitigate their risk
  • Formulate and prioritize a compliance agenda to proactively reduce your risk of liability.
